Civil Engineer
The Washington County Soil Conservation District (WCSCD) is in search of certified candidates to use for the District Engineer Place. It is a salaried skilled place involving the technical overview of stormwater administration ponds for compliance with dam security necessities, soil erosion and sediment management plan evaluations, and a full vary of plan overview providers. See Place Description at www.conservationplace.com for full description of duties. Candidates should be a Registered Skilled Engineer within the State of Maryland. Consideration could also be given to Engineer in Coaching candidates, with applicable expertise, who could also be anticipated to realize Skilled Engineer certification inside 6 to 12 months of employment. Will need to have expertise and school course work within the area of hydraulics, hydrology, and soil mechanics. Expertise within the area of stormwater administration, hydraulic and hydrology modeling, dam breach modeling, and dam hazard classifications. Annual beginning wage $80,000-$90,000 depending on training and expertise.
